How to Use Squidoo Lenses to Make Extra Money on the Internet

In a previous article I told you about how you can make extra money on the Internet by using Squidoo lenses to write product reviews and earn affiliate commissions. In this article I'm going to show you a whole different technique to make more money from your Squidoo lenses.

Now for this technique you don't need an affiliate account or product, but it will help you make more money in the long run. What we want to do here is find some popular but low competition keywords to build our Lenses around. For the sake of this article, let's say we're making a Lens on dog blankets.

You'll make the Lens like you would any other Squidoo page. Don't scrimp, you want to make a very informative and in-depth lens. Make sure you're an Amazon and eBay affiliate. It wouldn't hurt to be an AdSense affiliate either. Your lenses should be around 1000 words for this technique to work and your keywords should be at the beginning, middle and end of the Lens.

Once you have your Lens completed, you'll need to promote it well.

Your goal here is to promote this page, get some traffic to it and get it making some money. It doesn't have to be very much, but it does have to be some. You'll also want to build links to your Squidoo page so that it will gain PR from Google. The higher the PR you can get, the better.

Once you have both PR and income, you can then put your lens up for sale. Squidoo lenses that have both traffic and income along with a good PR can fetch well over $100 and some will bring a lot more than that! This is a long term project. Expect it to take you 6 months to a year to get your Lens up there. But since you can do several of these a day, think of the income potential if you had over 100 Squidoo Lenses worth $75 to $300 each! Now that's making money on the Internet!
